Falmouth sits on Jamaica's lush north coast, tucked between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, and it punches well above its size. The Georgian-era town center is one of the best-preserved in the Caribbean — the architecture alone is worth a short wander — but most families are here for the water and the island's legendary sense of fun.
Dunn's River Falls is the classic excursion, and for good reason: climbing the terraced waterfall with a chain of strangers is genuinely joyful chaos that kids remember forever. If you'd prefer something calmer, the Martha Brae River tubing is a beautiful, shaded float through the rainforest. For the real Jamaica, a local jerk chicken lunch on the way back is non-negotiable.
The ship has you back onboard by 3pm, so make the most of the morning. Taxis and excursion buses are plentiful at the pier, and the port area itself has shops and vendors worth browsing. Don't leave without trying some Blue Mountain coffee or a bag of spiced cashews for the road.
