Along the way, you’ll stop at the world-famous Belleek Pottery, housed in an impressive Victorian building that reflects the craftsmanship and ambition of its early years. Inside, you’ll find a museum, tearoom, video theatre, and showroom featuring both historic pieces and contemporary designs. Your guided tour takes you through the production areas, where you’ll see the many stages involved in creating Belleek’s distinctive ceramics and have the chance to observe the skilled artisans who continue this long tradition of handcraftsmanship.
As you explore the museum, you’ll follow the story of Belleek from its early earthenware beginnings to the creation of its delicate Parian china, which became one of the pottery’s most recognizable specialties. You’ll also see how Irish heritage, local inspiration, and traditional design have influenced many of Belleek’s pieces over the years. If you’re ready for a snack or light bite, the onsite tearoom is a convenient place to stop for something to eat or drink before continuing the journey.
After your visit, you’ll continue on to Lough Rynn Castle, where you’ll spend the night and enjoy one of the most distinctive stays of the trip, surrounded by historic charm, beautiful estate grounds, and the elegant atmosphere of a true Irish castle hotel.
