CLOTHING Alaska weather can be very unpredictable regardless of season. It’s the guest’s responsibility to wear adequate clothing. We recommend dressing in layers with closed shoes. Dress for comfort and safety – not for show. Cold weather clothing appropriate for Alaska can be rented from [Alaska Element] (www.alaskaelement.com) TOUR VAN/ SMOKING/ RESTROOMS/ SEAT ROTATION Alaska Wild Lights uses comfortable 10-15-passenger tour vans. For safety reasons, all vans are equipped with CB-radio and/or Satellite phone as well. Smoking is not permitted, but we do have timely rest stops. Rest stops – Rest stops on our longer tours are planned for your benefit and comfort. Safety first – Each person must be seated before the van can proceed. We request that you always remain seated and buckled in for your personal safety. Trip courtesies – To provide a comfortable tour to everyone, on our longer tours we ask for seat rotation throughout the day. Each guest is solely responsible for their own personal behavior and actions. PICK UP TIME (does not apply to snowmobile tours). You will be contacted the day before your tour to confirm the pick-up time from your hotel which may be before or after the stated tour start time. In case you miss our call, please remember to check your voicemail as we will always leave a message or send you an email if we can't get through. Cancellations: CANCELLATION/ REFUND POLICY All tours are refundable under the following conditions: - The Cancellation was made at least 7 days before the tour departure time, or if we must cancel the tour due to: --- minimum capacity not being met --- dangerous weather conditions or ---- other emergencies. Please note: The only exception is when you opt into Trip Protection. Please note: Select tours require a strict 7-day cancellation notice to be eligible for a refund. Please check your specific tour details For Private tours and groups of 8 or more- - To receive a full refund, cancellation of private tours or groups of 8 or more must be made no more than 30 days prior to the date of the tour. Please note: The online booking fee is not refundable. We are aware that sometimes unforeseen circumstances and illness can prevent our customers from taking their tour. For this reason, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance before your trip. NO SHOWS/ DELAYS / LATE ARRIVAL - Punctuality is extremely important when traveling with a group. Our waiting policy at the pick-up location is 15 minutes. If guests do not arrive within that time, it is considered a no-show and no refund will be provided. This policy pertains to all our tours, including tours beginning from our property. - Any reservation not used/ claimed is non-refundable. - Alaska Wild Lights is not responsible for delays or missed tours. Snowmachine tours You MUST arrive no more than 30 minutes before your tour time for your safety briefing and gear check. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your safety briefing, you will forfeit your tour and will not be eligible for any refund. CANCELLATION PROMPTED BY ALASKA WILD LIGHTS Guest safety is our major priority, hence we reserve the right to cancel or alter any itinerary as conditions require. Any changes made will be in the interest of Alaska Wild Lights passengers or as a result of circumstances beyond Alaska Wild Lights' control. In case of a full cancellation, a full refund will be provided. Partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
