Tsagaan Suvarga Ger Camp

Overnight at a local ger camp near the painted cliffs — your first night sleeping in a traditional Mongolian ger, with those red and white walls glowing in the last of the evening light just outside.

Gurvan Saikhan and Yol Valley

4 to 4.5 hours west into the desert mountains. A late-afternoon walk into Yol Valley, the deep gorge where ice survives some summers. The full hike waits for tomorrow morning when the light is best.

Dream Gobi Lodge

Camels at Dawn and the Flaming Cliffs

Camel riding with a herder family by the dunes in the morning light, at your own pace. Then 3 hours east to Bayanzag — where the first dinosaur eggs on earth were found in 1923. Walk the rim at sunset, when the cliffs burn orange and red.

Gobi Mirage Camp

En-suite bathrooms, 24-hour power, and lounge chairs under the stars. One of the most comfortable nights of the trip, and you've earned it.

Ongi Monastery and the Softening Gobi

3 hours north out of the desert to the ruins of Ongi Monastery above its river. Evening walk through the ruins, sunset from the hill, and the first green you've seen after days of sand and stone.

Erdene Zuu Monastery and the Wild Horses of Hustai

4 to 4.5 hours in two parts. Morning at Erdene Zuu Monastery, built from the stones of Genghis Khan's own capital. Then east to Hustai National Park for the takhi — the last truly wild horses on earth — coming down to the river at dusk.

Return to Ulaanbaatar

A short 1.5-hour drive back to the city. Time for cashmere and last looks, a farewell lunch together, then airport transfers throughout the afternoon.

On the final day, the group gathers at the Blue Sky rooftop lounge for a private farewell meal above the city — the toast to ten days of the Gobi, and the photograph that ends the trip.
