Medieval squares, the Basilica of Saint Anthony, and the university founded in 1222 where both Copernicus studied and Galileo taught. Stroll past Prato della Valle — the largest public square in Italy — and take free time for lunch in town.
Vicenza with Teatro Olimpico
Head to beautiful Vicenza and visit the Teatro Olimpico, Andrea Palladio's 16th-century masterpiece and the oldest Italian Renaissance theater still standing. Crafted in wood, stucco, and plaster for an audience of 400, it's an architectural gem. Free time for lunch in town afterwards.
