A full day exploring the northern lagoon — ancient basilicas, glass-blowing masters, and a fishing village frozen in time.
The morning begins on Torcello, the island that predates Venice itself. Once the most powerful city in the lagoon, today only a handful of people call it home. Your art historian guide opens the doors of the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta early — so you can experience the stunning 11th-century mosaic of the Last Judgment in complete peace. Afterwards, relax over coffee at a serene little osteria on the island.
The afternoon offers a choice: wander freely through Mazzorbo and the rainbow-hued island of Burano, or head to Murano to watch master glassblowers shape extraordinary works of art.
Choose one afternoon excursion (included):
Torcello: Hidden Treasure of the Lagoon (morning — all guests)
Early-access art historian tour of Santa Maria Assunta and its extraordinary Last Judgment mosaic.
Murano Glass Blowing Demonstration (afternoon choice)
Watch a Murano glass-master at work in their workshop, then browse the gallery — from sculptural showpieces to elegant tableware, with the option to bring a piece home.
