Overview

7-Night Voyage aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam

This is one of those itineraries that really shows off what makes Alaska so special. It’s not just about the ports, it’s about the journey in between…gliding past glaciers, spotting wildlife, and waking up each day to a completely different view.

Your journey begins in Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska, where you’ll board your ship and settle in for a week of incredible scenery and unforgettable stops.

One of the first highlights is cruising Hubbard Glacier, where you’ll witness one of Alaska’s most active tidewater glaciers. This is the kind of moment where everything slows down…you’re just watching ice calve into the water and taking it all in.

You’ll also spend time in Glacier Bay, a protected national park and one of the most sought-after experiences in Alaska. Not every ship is allowed in, which makes this a really special part of the itinerary. Expect towering glaciers, dramatic landscapes, and a chance to see wildlife in its natural habitat.

From there, you’ll visit some of Alaska’s most iconic ports:

Skagway – a charming Gold Rush town with a lot of history and one of the most scenic rail excursions in Alaska
Juneau – Alaska’s capital, surrounded by mountains and glaciers, with opportunities for whale watching and glacier visits
Ketchikan – known for its colorful waterfront, totem poles, and easy access to rainforest landscapes

Between ports, you’ll cruise through the Inside Passage, one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the world, known for calm seas and constant scenery.

Your voyage ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, a vibrant coastal city that’s worth exploring if you have time to stay a little longer.

PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS ITINERARY.
