What is Tern and why should I sign up for an account?
Tern is the new software Blue Gypsy Travel uses to manage client trips. When I send you the link to an itinerary, it is created and shared through Tern. You will have the ability to authorize payments, receive invoices, and view current and past trips. But to do this, you'll need a traveler account. If you don't create an account, you'll still be able to view the itinerary link, but you won't be able to do anything else through it.
I understand the hesitation around managing yet another account and remembering another password. However, when it comes to travel, safeguarding sensitive data like passport information and confirmation numbers is crucial. Creating an account with Tern helps me ensure the security of your information, giving you peace of mind throughout your journey.
There are two ways to sign up for a Tern account: The website and the app. However, I’m going to recommend creating an account first on the web, and then downloading the app - it’s much easier in my experience!

Create an Account by signing up on the web:
- Click here to sign up for an account with Tern (Note - You can find this option either at the top of your itinerary where it says "Sign up" or by visiting the web address linked above.)
- Enter Your Email: Be sure to use the same email your travel advisor shared the itinerary with to match your account with the information provided.
- Alternatively, you can create an account using your gmail by clicking “Sign Up with Google”
- Choose a Secure Password: Make sure to note the password requirements for security purposes.
- Click "Sign Up": Once your details are entered, click on the "Sign Up" button.
- Enter Your Name, Phone Number, and Location: Complete these fields to personalize your account.
- Select "I'm Traveling and My Advisor Suggested Tern…": This step is crucial for creating a free account that grants you access to your travel details.
- Confirmation and Validation: After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email from Tern. Simply validate your email to unlock access to all your trip information.
Once you’ve created an account - download the app!
- First, download the app using the links below:
- Log in with your email address and password to start viewing your itineraries.
That's it! With your account set up, you'll have instant access to your travel itinerary, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey.
