Today, we hop aboard one of the most iconic train journeys in the world—the Jacobite Steam Train, lovingly nicknamed the Hogwarts Express. After breakfast, we’ll board the vintage locomotive in Fort William and begin our 84-mile roundtrip ride through the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Expect lochs, mountains, and misty glens straight out of a dream.
The highlight? Crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct, the dramatic 21-arched bridge you’ve seen in Harry Potter and a hundred Pinterest boards. If time allows, the train may even pause on the viaduct, giving you a chance to soak in the views (and yes, snap that bucket list photo). Once we arrive in the charming port town of Mallaig, you’ll have about 90 minutes to explore, grab lunch, or wander the harbor with a pastry in hand.
By late afternoon, we return to Fort William for a relaxed evening on your own—perfect for a pub dinner, a quiet stroll by the loch, or curling up with your favorite book and a wee dram.
