Fuel up for the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading out to explore more of Iceland’s most iconic and awe-inspiring landscapes. We’ll be joined by our private driver-guide for a full day of discovery along Iceland’s dramatic South Shore — a region known for its wild beauty, powerful waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glacier-topped volcanoes.
Highlights Include:
- Seljalandsfoss Waterfall – famous for the walking path that takes you behind the curtain of water for a truly immersive view
- Skógafoss Waterfall – a majestic 60-meter cascade that sends up mist and often rainbows
- Reynishverfi Black Beach & Basalt Columns (Gardar) – where the roaring Atlantic meets the striking geometry of lava-formed rock
- A stop in the charming coastal village of Vík for lunch
Black Sand Beach ATV Tour
In the afternoon, we’ll turn up the adrenaline with a 2-hour ATV adventure along the black sand beaches of the South Coast.
We’ll cross shallow rivers and stretch out along endless black sands — remnants of past glacial floods from the dormant Katla volcano. Weather permitting, you’ll catch views of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, the Dyrhólaey sea cliffs, and even the site of a famous US Navy aircraft wreck.
As we return to the hotel, the route winds along the base of the mountain, offering one final look at Iceland’s rugged beauty.
