Breakfast at the hotel.
Your journey begins early in the morning, around 7:30 a.m. Your private Guide and Driver will drive you toward Limón through the scenic Braulio Carrillo National Park as well as banana and pineapple plantations.
Total distance and drive: 134 km / 3 – 3.5 hrs. approx.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., you will board a shared boat that will take you through the canals or La Suerte River, arriving at the lodge around 1:00 p.m. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing cocktail and a towel before being escorted to your room. The Front Desk will provide details about mealtimes and scheduled activities.
NOTE: maximum luggage allowed is 25 pounds (12 kg) per person on the boat transfer to Tortuguero.
Turtle Museum
The Turtle Museum is located in Tortuguero village and is very important due to the conservation efforts that they constantly make. Additionally, it is an essential place where you can learn about different marine turtle species, especially those that nest and lay their eggs in this incredible spot.
You will learn about the Tortuguero village's history and understand why it is important to protect these species, especially those that are in danger of extinction.
In the afternoon, enjoy the pool and bar before dinner, served between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
