The Oratory, with the adjoining Chapel of the Santissima Annunziata, is located outside the city center, towards the road that today leads to Latina. Its construction, dating back to the second decade of the 15th century, is due to Cardinal Pedro Fernandez de Frias (Castilian cardinal from the Burgos region in Spain) and to the Municipality of Cori (whose coat of arms, the oldest in the city, is set on the façade of the Chapel). Upon the death of the first client, the frescoing work inside the church continued according to the original project: a cycle of scenes from the Old and New Testament to which the figures of the Saints were subsequently added. The paintings, executed between 1420 and 1460, entirely cover the walls of the single-ship and saw the succession of different painters and, therefore, of different styles. Among these we hypothesize Masolino da Panicale, Master of Masaccio. The Oratory is a National Monument
