As you think about things to pack, here are a few suggestions and Amazon links for some of your essential items. This list is intended to make your planning easy and not stressful. It’s not a random packing list — it’s literally what’s in my suitcase!
Planning a European adventure can be overwhelming; this packing guidance helps you prepare for different climates, cobblestone streets, and cultural norms.
Adapters are a necessity when you travel outside of the US. Always check the destination voltage and attachments needed.

Portable power banks are important for all day adventures. I personally like the magnetic option if your phone has the magsafe on the back. The magnet on this charger is strong and no plugs are needed.
I love Packing cubes! They allow you to pack more or pack by the day.
But I hate wrinkles! So don’t forget to add Downy Wrinkle Release to your list.
Waterproof phone case is essential if you are planning on doing any type of water adventures. Canoeing, boating, swimming with sea creatures, or just sitting by the water’s edge. Keep your phone protected.
I just recently found this little gem of vitamins called Zipfizz. It's full of vitamins with a slightly fizzy kick. Easy to transport, easy to mix! It's really good and does give a burst of vitamins to help you feel energized.
Essential Meds I never go anywhere without these items, especially in a foreign country.
For the beach or camping, bug repellent or bracelets. Be careful not to carry aerosols as they can leak or explode in flight. Plus, TSA frowns upon aerosols.
Sunscreen lotion and after sun will come in handy.
Hand Sanitizer
This mini umbrella is small enough to stuff in a shoe but big enough in case you find yourself dancing in the rain. I love mine!
I always carry an empty duffel bag with me for souvenirs or if I need an overnight bag. It also comes in handy when out and about shopping markets.
My last suggestions are for fraud protection. I bought this crossbody bag last year and it has become my favorite. This entire bag has RFID so I know that my IDs and passport are safe from scammers. The zippers interlock with each other for extra security. It’s small but I never want to carry anything big when I’m touring a new destination. This is another design with the same brilliant features.
The other fraud protection I just started carrying are these cards you can put in your wallet with your credit cards.
