Your second morning in Kauai arrives without an agenda — and that's exactly the point. The ship doesn't sail until late afternoon, which gives you a full, unhurried day to go deeper into the island or simply slow down and let Kauai do what it does best.
If You Didn't Make It to the Na Pali Coast Yesterday This is your morning. Boat tours and helicopter flights run daily and morning departures tend to have the calmest conditions. It's the kind of experience that stays with you long after the trip is over — don't leave Kauai without making the effort.
The North Shore If the weather is cooperating, a drive up to Kauai's north shore is one of the most beautiful things you can do on this island. The road winds through sugarcane fields and jungle before opening up to the dramatic coastline around Princeville and Hanalei.
A Slower Morning If two days of exploring has earned you a rest, Kalapaki Beach is right at the harbor. Soft sand, calm water, and easy beach chair access. Sometimes the best thing you can do in Hawaii is simply sit by the ocean and let it wash over you.
Afternoon Return Plan to be back on board by mid-afternoon. The sail-away from Nawiliwili is one of the most memorable of the entire cruise — the Na Pali cliffs come into view as the ship rounds the northwestern coast of the island, and if you're on the right side of the ship at the right time, it's a moment worth every bit of the trip that led to it.
Find your spot on the balcony early. You'll want to be outside for this one.
