Denali Natural History Tour

Explore the natural and cultural heritage of Denali National Park on this 5-hour guided bus tour. Led by a knowledgeable driver-naturalist, the journey features interpretive stops at key sites such as Savage Cabin and Primrose Ridge. Along the way, enjoy a film on the park’s founding and a compelling Alaska Native presentation highlighting over 10,000 years of traditional land use.
On the return trip, the bus stops at the Denali Visitor Center, where guests may choose to stay and explore. For just $5, a round-trip shuttle is available between the Visitor Center and the Lodge. Attractions at the Visitor Center include an informative movie, access to hiking trails, and kennel tours featuring the park’s famous sled dogs.
Back at the Lodge, guests can unwind at several shops and restaurants or take advantage of the complimentary shuttle to the nearby Holland America Lodge. There, enjoy a popular dinner theater experience and meet Iditarod musher Mike Santos’ sled dog puppies during a free afternoon puppy social. Select puppies will be available for snuggling and photos—a guest favorite!
