Enjoy an all‑inclusive full‑day adventure in Wellington, the middle of Middle‑earth. Visit filming locations from The Lord of the Rings, enjoy a delicious lunch, and visit the famous Weta Workshop.
Highlights include:
Embassy Cinema and stories of world premieres of The Return of the King and An Unexpected Journey.
Mt Victoria lookout for views over the city and harbour, then walks through forested “Outer Shire” locations where the Hobbits take a shortcut to mushrooms and hide from the Black Riders.
Visit to Miramar Peninsula and Weta Workshop for a behind‑the‑scenes tour in a dedicated group tour space with a Weta artist explaining props, costumes, weapons and creatures. Includes time at the Weta Cave shop.
Journey out toward the Great River Anduin and enjoy a lunch fit for a Hobbit at a nearby café.
Visit to a 1000‑year‑old temperate rainforest used as Rivendell, with opportunities for photos recreating famous scenes.
Stops at the Gardens of Isengard and views toward the quarry used for Helm’s Deep and Minas Tirith.
