You've seen the falls. You've crossed the Zambezi. Now it's time for the bush.
Kapama Private Game Reserve spans over 15,000 hectares of pristine South African wilderness, where four distinct ecosystems converge and the perennial Klaserie River winds through the land sustaining life throughout the seasons. Nestled between the Blyde River Canyon and Kruger National Park in Limpopo Province, this is Big Five territory - and it does not disappoint.
Over 40 species of mammals call Kapama home, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros, alongside 350 species of birds. Large herds of elephant and buffalo roam the reserve, lion prides are well established, and other wildlife including giraffe, zebra, cheetah, African wild dog, hyena, and warthog round out what you might encounter on any given drive.
Safari here feels personal, unhurried, and deliberately exclusive. Vehicles are permitted to go off-road to track and follow wildlife, and a maximum of two vehicles are allowed at any sighting - meaning no crowds, no circus. Just you, your ranger, and whatever is standing in front of you.
Four nights here. Two game drives a day. The Big Five are waiting.
