Guided tour of Bruges
Free afternoon in Bruges
Chef's Dinner
Today we head to Bruges, the city that practically defines the word charming. After breakfast, we’ll make our way into its storybook center for a guided walking tour that hits all the highlights — the Markt Square with its colorful gabled buildings, the towering Belfry (you’ll hear its 47 bells long before you see them), and the elegant Town Hall on the Burg Square.
If you’re feeling energetic, climb the 366 steps to the top of the Belfry for an unforgettable panoramic view — and bragging rights that pair nicely with a Belgian beer later. We’ll also visit the Basilica of the Holy Blood, said to hold a relic from the time of Christ, and the Church of Our Lady, home to Michelangelo’s graceful Madonna and Child — one of the few works of his found outside Italy.
This afternoon, Bruges is yours to enjoy. Maybe drift along the canals on a boat tour, get lost among lace shops and chocolatiers, or pop into a museum dedicated to beer, fries, or — yes — chocolate. (We call that cultural research.)
Tonight, our ship’s chef pulls out all the stops for a special Chef’s Dinner. Raise your glass, indulge in every course, and toast to a day that perfectly balanced history, beauty, and pure indulgence. 🥂🌆
