Your tour manager meets the group and heads north toward Inverness. Your first stop is the Scottish Kiltmaker Visitor Centre, where a guided tour brings Scotland's most iconic garment to life from the weaving of the tartan to the craft of the kilt itself.
Then we make our way to Clava Cairns. These Bronze Age burial cairns and standing stones have been here for over 4,000 years. If you know Outlander you already know exactly what this place is. If you don't, you're about to understand why people are moved to tears standing here. Note: coach access is limited due to bridge weight restrictions on nearby roads. We will get as close as we can but a short walk may be required.
From there we continue to Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last pitched battle ever fought on British soil in 1746. This is where Scottish history changed forever. Your tour manager will be there but this is one of those places that speaks for itself. Take your time.
We end the day together over a 3-course dinner at a local restaurant, wine included. After the day you've just had, you'll have plenty to talk about.
