Antarctica is immersive, remote, and shaped entirely by nature. This is not traditional sightseeing, and flexibility is part of the experience.

Daily landings are made by Zodiac, and conditions can vary. Guests should be comfortable stepping in and out of small boats with assistance from the expedition team and walking on uneven, snowy, or rocky terrain.

That said, this is not an athletic expedition.

Many guests participate comfortably at their own pace. The expedition team is highly experienced, landings are carefully managed, and support is always available.

Lee will be traveling on this expedition as well, and we understand firsthand how important it is to talk through comfort levels and expectations before committing. If you have mobility considerations or simply want a clear picture of what participation looks like, we encourage a conversation.

Travel Logistics as a Glance

Please plan to arrive in Buenos Aires on January 12th (most U.S. departures will be on January 11th due to overnight flights).

Upon arrival on January 12th, guests will be met at the airport and transferred via shared group transfer to the included hotel for a one-night stay.

On January 13th, guests will transfer by coach to the airport for the included charter flight to Ushuaia, followed by transfer to the ship for embarkation.

Return charter flights typically arrive back in Buenos Aires in the late afternoon, allowing for same-day evening international departures. Final flight times and the confirmed hotel will be provided once available.

Guests wishing to arrive early in Buenos Aires are welcome to do so; additional hotel nights and private transfers can be arranged upon request.

Guests are responsible for arranging their international flights to Buenos Aires (EZE). Heirloom Journeys is happy to assist with international air arrangements to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience.

• Standard Booking Deposit Policy applies:

20% for oceanviews and balconies, and 30% for suites at time of naming cabin

• Final payment is due 120 days before sailing.

• Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated under Swan Hellenic’s cancellation

policy.

If booking within 119 days of departure, full payment is required at time of confirmation.

Swan Hellenic provides insolvency bonding to protect guest payments.

Cancellations must be made in writing. The date of receipt determines the applicable penalty.

The following cancellation schedule applies:

• Up to 120 days prior to departure: $300 administrative fee per person
• 119–90 days prior to departure: 20% of the cruise package price
• 89–61 days prior to departure: 75% of the cruise package price
• 60 days or less prior to departure: 100% of the cruise package price (less refundable passenger and security taxes where applicable)

Due to the cancellation structure and the remote nature of Antarctica, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Additional pre- and post-expedition arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective suppliers.

DOCUMENTS:

● Clients are responsible for ensuring their travel documents (example - passport) are up to date and valid within 6 months from the date they return to their home country.

● Clients must travel with their valid identification documentation - ie valid passport (as some venues do not accept a Drivers License as a valid form of identification) on their person at all times during their trip.

A professional planning fee of $100 per person is payable directly to Heirloom Journeys. Cruise deposits and final payments are remitted to Swan Hellenic in accordance with their published payment schedule.
