Before we check into our final hotel, we have one more creative adventure in store: a hands-on workshop where you’ll design and craft your very own bespoke Islander handbag. This isn’t just a souvenir—it’s a piece of Scotland that you’ll create with your own two hands, using world-famous Harris Tweed®.
In this fun, 60-minute session, you’ll become the designer. You’ll start by choosing the base color of your bag, then dive into the best part: selecting your favorite Harris Tweed® cloth for the lid. With a stunning array of colors and patterns to choose from, you can create a bag that’s perfectly you. Add the finishing touch with decorative straps, and then, guided by the experts, you’ll use a set of provided tools to construct your masterpiece.
It’s a fun, rewarding, and social experience where you’ll learn about the history and craftsmanship of Harris Tweed® while creating something beautiful to take home. The cost of the Mini Satchel is included, but if you fall in love with a larger style, you’ll have the option to upgrade on-site at your own expense.
After the workshop, we’ll travel to our hotel in Edinburgh to check in and give you some time to freshen up before we gather for our farewell dinner.
