Today you will visit the town of Biccari, a medieval village known for its historic center and unspoiled natural surroundings. Its main landmark is the Byzantine (or cylindrical) Tower, a massive 12th-century fortress standing 23 meters high, which dominates the town’s skyline.
Afterwards you will reach Monte Cornacchia, the highest mountain in Apulia. The area is characterized by Turkey oak forests, high-altitude pastures, and the presence of Lake Pescara, offering a landscape of great natural and scenic value.
