Overview
Here you will taste ostie ripiene (or ostie chiene), two thin wafers filled with a mixture of toasted almonds, honey (often wildflower honey) and cinnamon.
Originating in the 17th century thanks to the Clarisse nuns of the Monastery of the Trinity, these sweets combine convent and rural traditions, and are appreciated for their simplicity and intense aroma.
