Norwegian Getaway arrives in Southampton, one of the UK's major cruise ports and the gateway to London and southern England.

You can head home from here, spend a few days exploring London, or turn disembarkation day into one last sightseeing adventure before continuing on.

Heading home?

Most international travelers will fly from one of the London airports, with London Heathrow (LHR) generally the most convenient major airport from Southampton.

• Private or shared transfers — One of the easiest options when traveling with luggage. We'll help you look at transfer choices as we get closer to sailing.
• Train to London — Direct trains connect Southampton Central with London Waterloo, making this a good option if you're staying in London after the cruise.
• Flying home the same day — Choose your flight time carefully. Getting off the ship, collecting luggage, traveling from Southampton, and navigating a major international airport takes time. This is not the day to book an early flight!

Have a little more vacation left in you?

There are some fantastic possibilities from Southampton:

• London — Spend a few extra days seeing Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Tower of London, and everything else you've always wanted to see.
• Stonehenge — One of Britain's most famous landmarks is within reach from Southampton and can potentially be incorporated into a transfer toward London.
• Windsor — Windsor Castle and the surrounding town can make another interesting stop when traveling toward the London area.
• Winchester — A beautiful historic city known for Winchester Cathedral and centuries of English history.
• New Forest — A completely different side of England, with picturesque villages, countryside, and the famous free-roaming ponies.

Good to know: Disembarkation morning always feels a little different from the rest of the cruise. You'll receive instructions onboard explaining luggage procedures and when you can leave the ship.

We'll also help our group sort through airport transfers, London stays, and post-cruise options before we travel, so you won't be standing on the pier in Southampton wondering what to do next.

Kim's pick: After Iceland, the Norwegian Fjords, Belgium, and France, I'm not sure I'm going to be ready to fly straight home! 😂 If the schedule allows, I'd love to add a little time in England—especially if we can work London and Stonehenge into the plan.
