Alaska, Without Compromise, August 2027
Aug 6 - 13, 2027

You want to go on a cruise where everything is genuinely, actually included - no drinks package to add, no specialty restaurant surcharge, no envelope at the end of the week. You want a ship where every single accommodation is a suite, where the design feels modern and alive rather than formal and hushed, and where the other guests feel like people you'd actually want to have dinner with.
But you don't need a butler. You don't need white gloves and a six-course tasting menu every night. You just want everything handled, beautifully, without the performance of it.
Imagine waking up in your suite - 301 square feet of calm, with a private 75 square foot sun terrace - to glacier views and no agenda. No bill coming at the end of the week. No decisions that weren't already made for you. Just Alaska outside your door and nothing in the way of it.
That's exactly what EXPLORA III was built for. Fully inclusive. Every accommodation a suite. A ship designed around ocean living rather than ocean cruising, sailing some of the least-visited, most dramatic coastline in Alaska. We've held group space on the August 6–13, 2027 sailing from Seward to Vancouver. Seven nights. Six ports. Not a single detail for you to figure out.
The Alaska Most Cruises Miss
Explora Journeys is built for slow, immersive travel - fewer guests, more time in port, and a ship that feels like a private residence at sea. Every stop on this route was chosen for its wildness and its depth.
Icy Bay is one of the least-visited glacial bays in Alaska - largely inaccessible except by sea. Skagway is gold rush history preserved in amber. Juneau has no road in or out. Hoonah sits at the edge of Glacier Bay, a place most Alaska cruises pass by without stopping. Wrangell is one of the oldest and least-touristy towns in Alaska, occupied continuously for thousands of years by the Tlingit people.
This is the Alaska that doesn't make it onto anyone's Instagram feed. And that's exactly the point.

EXPLORA III by Explora Journeys
Most cruise ships are built around what happens onboard - the shows, the pools, the programmed entertainment. EXPLORA III is built around a different idea entirely: ocean living. The ship is a place to settle into, not a destination competing with the ports for your attention. With just over 900 guests across a fleet of suites and residences - no standard cabins, no interior rooms, nothing that isn't a suite - the pace is unhurried in a way that's genuinely rare at sea.
Every afternoon at 4pm, tea service appears in one of the lounges. A live pianist. A pastry and snack trolley that several well-traveled guests have described as the best they've seen at sea. A wide selection of teas and a reason to stop, sit, and actually be somewhere. It sounds like a small thing. On a ship built around the idea that the best luxury is time, it's actually the whole point.
Before each port, a professor - not a shore excursion sales pitch, an actual academic - gives a lecture on the history, economy, and culture of where you're about to go. By the time you step off the ship in Skagway or Wrangell, you already know something real about the place. That's not standard on any cruise line at any price point. On EXPLORA III, it's just Tuesday.
Accommodations range from the Ocean Terrace Suite - 301 square feet of cabin space with a private 75 square foot sun terrace - up through Penthouse categories and full Residences, all the way to the 3,014 square foot Owner's Residence at the top of the ship. We'll help you find the right fit for how you like to travel.

An All-Inclusive Experience, Without the All-Inclusive Feel
It's 4pm. You've just come back from Skagway - gold rush history, crisp air, more beauty than you knew what to do with. A pastry trolley appears. A pianist is playing. Someone hands you a cup of tea and you realize you haven't thought about work in three days. No one is going to hand you a bill for any of this.
That's what genuinely all-inclusive feels like on EXPLORA III - and it goes further than most people expect. Every meal across every restaurant. Fine wines, champagne, premium spirits, specialty coffees, organic cold-pressed juices. Your in-suite minibar, restocked daily with your favorites. High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi that actually works for video calls and streaming. Gratuities. All of it, included, before you board.
And because you're booking with Untethered Voyages, each stateroom also includes a $100 Journey Experience Credit plus a 200 EUR Event Journey Experience Credit - set aside for the moments onboard that you want to make even more special.
There's nothing to add on. Nothing to calculate. Nothing waiting for you at the end of the week except the memory of where you just were.

The Untethered Voyages Difference
The Alaska Shortlist exists because you shouldn't have to spend twelve hours researching a vacation. We've already done it. Every sailing here has been personally vetted by us - we know the ship, we know the itinerary, and we've held the space so you don't have to start from scratch.
Here's what booking through us actually means:
We negotiated your perks before you got here.
The $100 Journey Experience Credit and 200 EUR Event Journey Experience Credit attached to your suite aren't standard - they're the result of relationships we've built with Explora Journeys on your behalf. You show up; the extras are already waiting. We handle everything between "yes" and the pier.
Getting to Seward - your embarkation port - takes a little planning. It's not a major hub, and most guests fly into Anchorage first. We'll make sure you know exactly how to get there, where to stay the night before, and what to expect on embarkation day. Which ports are worth booking a shore experience and which ones are perfect on foot? We'll tell you exactly what we'd do. The hundred small decisions that turn a great trip into a stressful one? Those are ours now. You just have to pack. We're your advocate if anything goes sideways.
Flight delayed? Plan changed? We solve it before you know there's a problem. We're proactive, we're reachable, and we treat your trip with the same attention you'd give your most important project. And yes - our services are complimentary.
We're paid by the cruise lines, which means our entire incentive is making your experience extraordinary enough that you never book travel any other way.Reserve Your Spot
EXPLORA III is an all-suite ship - every accommodation a suite, nothing less That means every option in our group block is genuinely luxurious - the question is just how much space you want and who you're bringing.

A note on the Grand Penthouse: this is the only category in our group block that accommodates more than two guests - it's designed for two adults and two children, which makes it the rare Alaska sailing that works beautifully as a family experience without sacrificing an ounce of luxury. If you've been looking for the trip to take with your kids before they're too old to want to travel with you, this might be it.
Final payment is due May 8, 2027.
Pricing is confirmed through September 21, 2026 - after that, we can't guarantee these rates. If you're thinking about it, sooner is better.
Want to talk through which suite is right for you? That's exactly what we're here for. Just ask.

Don't Take Our Word for It

A Few Things People Always Ask
Do I need a passport? Yes - and make sure it's valid through at least February 2028. This sailing ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, which means you're crossing an international border at disembarkation. Make sure yours is ready well before departure.
Is everything really included? Yes - and then some. Dining across all restaurants, fine wines, champagne, premium spirits, specialty coffees, organic cold-pressed juices, soft drinks, your daily restocked in-suite minibar, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, and gratuities are all included in your fare. There's genuinely nothing to reach for your wallet for once you board.
Is there a minimum suite size? Every accommodation on EXPLORA III is a suite - there are no interior cabins or standard oceanview rooms. The entry-level Ocean Terrace Suite offers 301 square feet of cabin space plus a private 75 square foot sun terrace. Everything above that is larger. We'll help you find the right fit.
What's it like to sail on a brand new ship? EXPLORA III launches this month - which means by the time this sailing departs in August 2027, she'll have less than a year at sea. Everything will be pristine. The crew will be exceptional - new ships attract the best talent in the industry, eager to set the tone for a vessel that's just finding its rhythm. The dining concepts, the spa, the technology - all of it at its absolute freshest. There's something genuinely special about being among the first guests to really live on a ship. This sailing will be one of those experiences.
What should I pack? Layers. August in Alaska means mild days - typically 55–65°F at most ports - with the chance of rain at any time. Bring a quality waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes for port days, and layering pieces you can add or remove throughout the day. Evenings onboard skew smart-casual to elegant, so pack at least one outfit that fits that vibe. We'll send a full packing guide before departure.
Can solo travelers join? Yes - we have one solo Ocean Terrace Suite in our group block at $6,980. It's the same suite, the same private terrace, the same everything. Just for one. If you're interested, reach out soon - there's only one.
How do shore experiences work? Shore experiences aren't included in the base fare - but you won't be navigating the options alone. We'll send curated recommendations for each port well before departure, so the best experiences are already waiting for you when you're ready to book.
What if I need to cancel? Life happens. Here's how Explora’s policy works for US-based travelers:
