After the exhilaration of San Fermín, we return to the Camino, leaving Pamplona behind and rediscovering the quieter rhythm of walking through the countryside of Navarra.
Today’s route takes us through rolling fields and small villages before climbing to Alto del Perdón, one of the Camino Francés’ most iconic landmarks. At the summit, a striking silhouette of medieval pilgrims stretches across the ridgeline, accompanied by sweeping views of the landscape we’ve traveled and the path still ahead.
From Alto del Perdón, we descend through the countryside toward Puente la Reina, a historic Camino town where several pilgrimage routes converge. Its celebrated medieval bridge over the Arga River provides a fitting conclusion to a day that brings us back to the simplicity of the Camino: walking, reflection, conversation, and the journey forward.
