Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles | 2027 Group Cruise with R.Wing Travel
Aug 24 - 31, 2027
A Personal Note from Randi:
This is truly an incredible value, but I want to be completely transparent: we are not holding a block of rooms. This is a first-come, first-served opportunity. Because of my partnership with AmaWaterways, I’ve secured an exclusive contract that allows us to stack a $1,000 per person promotion with our $250 group discount. This means a total savings of $1,250 per person!
To ensure you don't miss out, I can place a complimentary temporary hold on your preferred stateroom. This locks in your total discount and protects your space while we finalize your details and process your deposit. My professional recommendation? If you have your eye on a specific deck or balcony, let’s place that hold today to secure your spot on the Rhine before it's gone!

7-Night Rhine River Cruise | August 24 – August 31, 2027
Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands
The Experience:
We begin in Basel, the cultural gateway of Switzerland. Before we set sail, I recommend trying a Basler Läckerli, a traditional spiced honey cookie baked here since 1753. You might even arrive a day early to explore the glacial beauty of nearby Lake Lucerne.
From there, we wind our way north through France and Germany, sailing past the highest concentration of historic castles in the world. Your journey concludes amidst the iconic canals and colorful reflections of Amsterdam.
- The Swiss Alpine Start: Explore the elegant city of Basel and the stunning, mountain-fringed shores of Lake Lucerne.
- Alsatian Storybooks: Wander the timber-framed "Petite France" district of Strasbourg, a city that feels like a living fairytale.
- The Castle Stretch: Sail the UNESCO-designated Rhine Gorge, home to 40 historic fortresses—the highest concentration of castles in the world.
- German Heritage: From the twin spires of the Cologne Cathedral to the sun-drenched vineyards of Rüdesheim.
- The Dutch Finale: Fall in love with Amsterdam’s winding waterways and world-class art.
Secure Your Space & Savings

Our Ship
The AmaVenita is our "floating hotel" for the week. Most staterooms feature AmaWaterways' signature Twin Balconies - a French balcony and a full outside balcony - giving you the best possible view of the castles as we glide by.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I really hold a room for free?
A: Yes! I can place a complimentary temporary hold on your preferred stateroom. This secures your specific category and "locks in" your $1,250 savings while we finalize your passenger details and payment authorization.
Q: Do I have to choose my "Early Bird" reward right now?
A: You will select your preferred reward - The Cash Saver or The Amsterdam Immersion - when you submit your deposit. Please keep in mind that the Amsterdam Land Tour has strictly limited capacity, so it is best to decide early to ensure your spot is available.
Q: Which airport should I fly into?
A: For the best flight schedules and most direct options from the U.S., I recommend flying into Zurich (ZRH). It is a major international hub with frequent service. From Zurich, it is a beautiful and easy 1-hour train ride or private transfer directly to our starting point in Basel.
Q: When exactly should I plan to land in Switzerland?
A: I strongly recommend all guests to land in Switzerland no later than August 23 (one day before embarkation).
To account for overnight travel from the U.S. and potential flight delays, you should plan to depart the U.S. on August 22. Arriving at least one day early ensures you are relaxed, refreshed, and, most importantly, on the ship when we set sail!
- I am happy to assist with coordinating a pre-cruise hotel stay in Basel or nearby Lake Lucerne so you can arrive stress-free.
Q: Are there options to extend my journey?
A: Absolutely! If you want to make the most of your time in Europe, I have two curated extensions available:
- Pre-Cruise (Italy): A 4-night journey featuring 2 nights in Milan and 2 nights in Lake Como. We will then travel together to Basel to meet the ship.
- Post-Cruise (Netherlands): A 2-night Amsterdam immersion.
- Note: This post-cruise stay is an additional cost unless you selected the "Amsterdam Immersion" as your Early Bird Reward in lieu of the $1,000 cruise discount.
Q: Is airfare included?
A: While airfare is not in the base price, I provide full support to get you to the ship:
- Personal Coordination: I can advise on the best routing or help you navigate using your preferred miles.
- AmaWaterways "Live Air": Available 330 days prior to our return, often offering competitive rates and "AIRPLUS" fixed-price promotions (e.g., $799–$899).
Q: What is the "Passport Rule" for this trip?
A: To book airfare or secure your cruise documents, I require your full name and birthdate exactly as they appear on your passport. Additionally, your passport must be valid through February 2028 (six months beyond our return date).
