The Immersive Alaska Cruise, July 2027
Jul 15 - 26, 2027

When your sister-in-law came back from Alaska, she was awed by the massive scale and intrigued by the culture, but she had one complaint: an Alaskan cruise only shows you a tiny bit of Alaska. Her 7-night roundtrip itinerary from Seattle meant that they got to visit two (crowded) ports and a glacier, with the rest of the trip on the ship. When you go, you want something different. You want to really get to know Alaska. You want to spend more time in ports and less time on the ship. And you definitely want to visit more than two port stops. You want destination immersion - enter Azamara Pursuit’s 11-night voyage departing from Whittier, Alaska on July 15, 2027.
Small Ship Cruising
The megaships can't fit where Azamara goes - and that's the whole point. Smaller ports mean more authentic experiences and fewer crowds. In Klawock, that means genuine access to living Tlingit culture, not a tourist approximation of it. At Hubbard Glacier, the largest tidewater glacier in North America, the experience happens from the ship itself. No excursion required. Just you and a few hundred other travelers watching a wall of ice the size of a city.
And then there's the AzAmazing Evening. In Ketchikan, Azamara has arranged a private Timber Carnival at the Great Alaska Lumberjack Show: axe throwing, log rolling, traditional Alaskan competition, local beer and wine, Tlingit dance, and food that actually reflects where you are. Not the standard show. A private version arranged just for this group.
Alaska the way it's meant to be seen.

Azamara Pursuit
Most cruise ships are built around what happens onboard - the shows, the pools, the endless buffet. Azamara Pursuit is built around what happens when you get off. The ship is the vehicle, not the destination - and everything about the onboard experience reflects that. With fewer than 700 guests, the decks never feel crowded, the crew knows your name by day two, and the dining and spa are genuinely good without trying to compete with the ports for your attention.
Cabins range from well-appointed Interiors and Oceanviews to Verandas with private balconies, and for this sailing, we recommend a Veranda. Eleven nights in Alaska means eleven mornings waking up to a coastline worth seeing, and you'll want to see it from your own outdoor space. Suites are also available for those who want to go all out - including the World Owner's Suite at 560 square feet at the top of the ship.
This is a small ship. It doesn't pretend to be anything else. And in Alaska, that's exactly what you want.

No Surprises
Imagine sitting down to dinner in the port of Sitka, ordering a glass of wine, and never once thinking about what it costs. That's what cruising with Azamara actually feels like - because the things that other cruise lines charge extra for are simply included.
Your fare covers all onboard dining across every venue, select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, gratuities, unlimited self-service laundry, and your AzAmazing Evening in Ketchikan. No drinks package to calculate. No tip envelope at the end of the week. No surprises.
And because you're booking with Untethered Voyages, there's a little more waiting for you. A $150 onboard credit per stateroom to spend however you'd like - a spa treatment, a shore excursion, an extra bottle of something good. And a bottle of champagne in your stateroom when you arrive, because eleven nights in Alaska is worth celebrating from the moment you board.

The Untethered Voyages Difference
The Alaska Shortlist exists because you shouldn't have to spend twelve hours researching a vacation. We've already done it. Every sailing here has been personally vetted by us - we know the ship, we know the itinerary, and we've held the space so you don't have to start from scratch.
Here's what booking through us actually means:
We negotiated your perks before you got here.
The $150 onboard credit and the bottle of champagne waiting in your stateroom when you arrive - those aren't standard. They're the result of relationships we've built with Azamara on your behalf. You show up; the upgrades are already waiting. We handle everything between "yes" and the pier.
And on this sailing, that includes getting you to Whittier - one of the most unusual embarkation ports in Alaska, accessible through a single tunnel that alternates direction and operates on a schedule. It's a detail most travelers don't know to plan for until it's almost too late. We'll make sure you know exactly what to expect, where to stay the night before, and how to get there without stress. Which ports are worth a shore excursion and which ones are perfect on foot? We'll tell you exactly what we'd do. The hundred small decisions that turn a great trip into a stressful one? Those are ours now. You just have to pack. We're your advocate if anything goes sideways.
Flight delayed? Plan changed? We solve it before you know there's a problem. We're proactive, we're reachable, and we treat your trip with the same attention you'd give your most important project. And yes - our services are complimentary.
We're paid by the cruise lines, which means our entire incentive is making your experience extraordinary enough that you never book travel any other way.Reserve Your Spot
We've said it before and we'll say it again - for an Alaska sailing, a balcony is non-negotiable. Eleven nights means eleven mornings waking up to a coastline that most people never get to see. We've held Veranda and Veranda Plus cabins specifically for this group, and that's where we'd put you.
Cabin Type
Starting From
Veranda
$8,218 pp
Veranda Plus
$9,038 pp
All fares are per person based on double occupancy. Port fees included.
An $1,100 deposit is due at booking. Final balance is due February 15, 2027.
The Veranda Plus adds the perks that matter most to a traveler who doesn't want to think about logistics: priority embarkation and debarkation, complimentary in-room spirits, one free bag of laundry service per stateroom every seven days, internet minutes included, and one night of complimentary specialty dining for two every seven days. On an eleven-night sailing, that's effectively three nights of specialty dining already included in your fare - and other guests are paying extra for every one of them.
Most of our clients choose the Veranda Plus - not for the room itself, but for what it removes from their to-do list. Priority boarding alone is worth it on embarkation day.
Pricing is confirmed through September 20, 2026 - after that, we can't guarantee these rates. If you're thinking about it, sooner is better.
Interested in a different cabin category? We can check availability outside the group block. Just ask.

Don't Take Our Word for It
What truly set them apart was the thoughtful planning process - they asked highly detailed and insightful questions, ensuring we got the absolute best benefit and experience from each of our stays. - Sarah K.
A Few Things People Always Ask
Do I need a passport? Yes - and make sure it's valid through at least January 2028. This itinerary crosses into Canada (Nanaimo, Victoria, and Vancouver), so you'll need it for the full sailing, not just the Alaska ports.
What's included in the fare? More than you might expect from a premium cruise line. Azamara includes all onboard dining across every venue, select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, gratuities, and unlimited self-service laundry. The AzAmazing Evening in Ketchikan is also included. And because you're booking with Untethered Voyages, you'll also have a $150 onboard credit and a bottle of champagne waiting in your stateroom when you arrive.
What should I pack? Layers. Alaska in mid-July is mild but changeable - think mid-50s to low 60s°F at most ports, with the possibility of rain at any time. You'll want a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes for port days, and at least one smart-casual outfit for dinner. We'll send a full packing guide before departure.
Can I come solo? Yes - most staterooms on Azamara can be a solo stateroom - but honestly, for an itinerary like this one, we'd steer you toward a Veranda anyway. Eleven nights of Alaskan coastline is better with a balcony. If you'd like to explore solo options outside our group block, reach out and we'll see what's available.
How do excursions work? Shore excursions aren't included in the base fare - but you won't be sorting through a catalog on your own. We'll send curated recommendations for each port well before departure, so the best options are already waiting for you when you're ready to book.
What if I need to cancel? Life happens. Here's how Azamara's policy works for US-based travelers:
Days Before Sailing
Cancellation Fee
150+ days
Flat $150 per person administrative fee
121–150 days
25% of fare
91–120 days
50% of fare
61–90 days
75% of fare
60 days or less
100% - no refund
This is exactly why we strongly recommend travel insurance. A good policy protects your investment if something unexpected comes up - illness, a family emergency, a work obligation that can't wait. We can help you find the right coverage when you book. Just ask.
