Welcome to Malta — a tiny island nation with an outsized place in the story of the Apostle Paul. It was here, on this ancient Mediterranean island then called Melita, that Paul was shipwrecked during his voyage to Rome. The people of Malta welcomed him with remarkable kindness, and during the three months Paul spent here, many were healed — including the father of the island's leading official — and the Gospel took root in soil it would never leave.

Valletta — A City Built by Faith & Crusader History
Embark on a narrated tour of Valletta, one of Europe's smallest and most architecturally magnificent capital cities. Built almost entirely in the 16th century by the Knights of St. John, Valletta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site — a fortress city of honey-colored limestone rising dramatically from the harbor.
- St. John's Co-Cathedral — Valletta's most magnificent treasure, this baroque masterpiece was commissioned in 1572 by Grand Master Jean de la Cassière for the Knights of St. John. Its interior is a breathtaking explosion of gilded carvings, inlaid marble tombstones, and masterpiece paintings — including Caravaggio's celebrated work The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist. Several Knights donated extraordinary gifts of art to ensure it was adorned with only the finest works in the world
- Casa Rocca Piccola — A beautifully preserved 16th-century aristocratic home offering a rare and intimate glimpse into the lives of Maltese nobility across 400 years. Still home to the 9th Marquis de Piro and his family, it is one of Malta's most unique heritage experiences
- The Mediterranean Conference Center (the Old Hospital of the Order) — Set overlooking the Grand Harbour, this imposing building was originally constructed as a hospital for the Order of St. John of Jerusalem — considered one of the finest medical facilities in all of Europe during the 1600s
The Paul Connection
Though our tour focuses on Valletta, the entire island of Malta is sacred Pauline ground. Paul's presence here for three months left an indelible mark — the Maltese people's Christian faith, one of the oldest in Europe, traces its roots to the Apostle's sojourn among them.
To stand in Malta is to stand where one of the greatest stories of survival, grace, and mission in the New Testament actually happened.
